This project will explore its efficacy and potential applications This project involves reviewing research papers on the milk microbiome of dairy cattle and trialing various laboratory techniques related to milk analysis. The research will include a journal review and hands-on laboratory work to understand and manipulate the milk microbiome effectively. Expected Student Role(s): Literature search, writing a draft according to guidelines, and compiling data. Journal review and laboratory techniques Required and/or Recommended Student Skills: High English language proficiency, eagerness to learn, basic knowledge in infectious diseases Students should be familiar with microbiology and laboratory techniques. Experience in reviewing scientific literature is beneficial but not required. Expected Duration of Student Involvement: 4 months (month of completion: January) Estimated Weekly Student Workload: 4 hours per week Expected Benefits for Student(s): Improvement of academic writing skills, publication opportunities This project will help students develop skills in researching and reviewing literature, critical thinking, and laboratory techniques.
