Problem

Administrators from the collaboration of UNIC with HOU (Hellenic Open University) requested a solution to their problem with Thesis propositions for their students. They wanted a way for the students to submit their proposals by answering certain questions. The course leader would then revise their submission and approve it or not.

Solution

The solution we came up with was to develop a plugin for Moodle on which we have already the students along with who would be the teachers for that specific course (The course is called "Διπλωματική Εργασία" most of the times).

At first the administrator needs to create the activity into the course. Simply by selecting add an activity or resource you can find it with the name 'thesis proposition'. The plugin consists of several forms and different views for each role.

The roles that have different views and actions are:

1.TeacherThis role has the ability to view all submissions from users and either approve or not approve. Also it can assign lecturers for thesis supervising. Teacher also can enable or not the ability to the student to submit his/hers second submission
