To install the SPSS program on your computer, please follow the below instruction:

You will need:

  • Internet connection
  • winrar program or another program that can extract the content of a .rar folder
    • Winrar for Windows (On windows choose either the 32 or the 64 bits and then, click the button "Download WinRAR")
    • Winrar for Mac (When you open the link for winrar on MAC, click the button "Download WinRAR")                                                                                                                           
  • You can download Java from here:

1. Installation of SPSS:

1.1 Windows Guide

  1. Download the SPSS program: HERE
  1. Extract the file .rar (Right click and "Extract the 1.SPSS25x86")
  2. Open the folder "1.SPSS25x86"
  3. Double click the file "spss_statistics_25_win32.exe"
  4. Follow the below steps to install the program:
    1. Next
    2. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    3. Next
    4. Yes
    5. Next
    6. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    7. Next
    8. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    9. Next
    10. Next
    11. Install
    12. Yes
    13. Finish
    14. Proceed to step 2

1.2 Mac Guide

  1. Download the SPSS program: HERE
  2. Extract the file "Statistics_25_MAC.zip"
  3. Double click the file "spss_statistics_25_mac.dmg"
  4. Double click the icon "SPSS_Statistics_Installer" (It might ask for permission from the computer administrator)
  5. Follow the below steps to install the program:
    1. Select English language and then press "ΟΚ"
    2. Next
    3. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    4. Next
    5. Next
    6. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    7. Next
    8. I accept the terms in the license agreement.
    9. Next
    10. Next
    11. Install
    12. Done
    13. Proceed to step 2

2.  SPSS Licence

  • Για To obtain the licence code for your SPSS you must click here. 

  • If you are not connected with the Moodle platform then you must sign in by using your account details.

  • Upon sign in into Moodle you will receive automatically the licence code of SPSS. Use the licence code to activate the SPSS program.

    WARNING

    • The licence code is connected with your student number and it can be used only in one device (computer).
    • The licence code is a personal data and it's forbidden to share it with third party users.

3. Activation of SPSS

To activate the program you must run IBM SPSS Statistics 25 License Authorization Wizard program. 

  1. Check "Authorized user license" and then click Next
  2. After that, copy the licence code and paste it to the field "enter code"
  3. Click Next and wait for the program to activate the key.
  4. Click Next again
  5. Click finish
After the activation is completed, you must run IBM SPSS Statistics 25 program.

4. IBM SPSS Statistics 25 Licence Authorization Wizard didn't start automatically

  • In case that the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 License Authorization Wizard won't automatically open, then you must click the Windows button (at the left hand side below, or type immediately into the search bar)  and type SPSS. Then you must run IBM SPSS Statistics 25 License Authorization Wizard to finish the activation.

When you finish with the activation of the program from the [ IBM SPSS Statistics 25 License Authorization Wizard ] then, you must run (IBM SPSS Statistics 25).
