* To install SPSS on your computer, please follow the instructions below *

SYSTEM CHECK Make sure your PC can run SPSS Statistics

Required for installation:

  1. Internet Connection

2. A .rar extractor (WinRAR, The Unarchiver)

3. Java

System Requirements for Windows PCs:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 or newer

  • Memory: Minimum 4GB RAM, while 8GB RAM or more is highly recommended

  • Minimum free drive space: 4x the size of your data file size. Example: 8GB free for 2GB SPSS data file

  • Apple macOS Catalina (10.15) or newer

  • Memory: Minimum 4GB RAM, while 8GB RAM or more is highly recommended

  • Minimum free drive space: 4x the size of your data file size. Example: 8GB free for 2GB SPSS data file.

STEP 1 Installing SPSS

 SPSS for Windows

  1. Download IBM SPSS: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1rvV05Ti5SLr1mqYB_4y44_n0Eu5A9EeB?usp=sharing

  2. Extract the file .rar (Right click and "Extract to SPSS 28 Windows")

  3. Open the folder "SPSS 28 Windows"

  4. Double-click the file "SSC_64-bit_28.0.0.0_MWins.exe"

  5. Follow the steps below to install the program:

    1. Next

    2. I accept the terms in the license agreement.

    3. Next

    4. Next

    5. Install

    6. Finish

    7. Proceed to Step 2

 SPSS for Macs

  1. Download IBM SPSS: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cBf1ij4R5AZMmicM1VAhOHgl3wQ2D5_V?usp=sharing

  2. Extract the file "SPSS 28 MAC.zip"

  3. Double-click the file "SSC_28.00.00_MacOS.pkg"

  4. Follow the steps below to install the program:

    1. Continue

    2. Continue

    3. Press Agree (I accept the terms in the license agreement)

    4. Install

    5. Close

    6. Run the SPSS Statistics

    7. Proceed to Step 2

STEP 2 Retrieving a License Key

 License Key

To obtain the license key for your SPSS you must click here

In order to gain full access in SPSS, activate the software with a License Key

If you are not connected with the Moodle platform then you must sign in by using your account details

Upon signing in to Moodle you will receive automatically the license key for SPSS. Use the license key to activate SPSS

WARNING:
The license key is connected to your student number and it can be used only in one device (computer)
The license key is personal data and it's forbidden to share it with third-party users
Installing and activating the software on company owned computers is also frobidden
In case the License Key does not appear, please follow Step 4 to create an online ticket for support

STEP 3 Activating SPSS

 Activation

  • Run SPSS Statistics and a window will pop up to activate the program

  • To activate the software you must select “Launch License Wizard”

  1. Click “Next”

  2. Check "Authorized user license" and then Click “Next”

  3. After that, copy the License Key and paste it into the "enter code" field

  4. Press the “Add” button

  5. Click “Next” and wait for the program to activate the key

  6. Click “Next” again

  7. Click “Finish”

If you have followed all the steps above and still cannot install/activate SPSS, you can install TeamViewer and ask for SPSS support here

After submitting your request please check your email Inbox or Draft folders, for a response from our support agents
