Higher Education Faculty and Staff Mobility

This article is informing the user of everything they need to know about faculty Erasmus mobility which offers the opportunity to explore best practices, gain professional development through teaching or training, transfer knowledge and establish personal and institutional collaboration.

  • Only full-time faculty and staff members can participate in this Erasmus program.

  • The duration of the program being a minimum two (2) days, at least 8 hours of teaching should be included when applying for a teaching mobility, one extra day for travelling should also be planned

  • You can apply within the Call for Applications period (The deadline for applications is end of September annually)


Yes! Participants are eligible for an Erasmus+ grant as a contribution to their travel and subsistence costs.

Please note that It may vary according to differences in living costs between their current host country and the destination country, the number of applicants, the distance between countries and the availability of other grants.

Of course, you can! In the case of staff mobility from an enterprise/office/Research Centre to the University of Nicosia, the mobility is arranged by an invitation from the University of Nicosia to the staff member of the enterprise/industry.

To apply for this type of mobility you need to submit an application for invited speaker. This type of activity is eligible only for invited speakers visiting us from enterprises situated within the EU. (Deadline for application: end of September)

Action 1

Teaching periods: allows HEI teaching staff from the university to teach at a partner higher education institution (HEI) abroad. It can be in any subject area/academic discipline.


   Action 2

Training periods: this activity supports the professional development of HEI teaching and non-teaching staff.

It may take the form of training events abroad (excluding conferences) and job shadowing/observation periods/training at a partner HEI, or at another relevant organization abroad.

A period abroad can combine teaching and training activities.
