Forgotten Password on Moodle

This guide describes what to do if you forgot your password on Moodle.

All you need to complete this guide is your student ID

Step 1

Click “Lost password? that appears below the password field.


Step 2

You will be redirected to the “Forgotten password” page and asked to search for your account by entering your Username aka. Student ID. Fill in either of the fields provided and click “Search”.


Step 3

If you supplied a correct username then an email should have been sent to the email address used in your Moodle account, similar to the one above, click the link to provided in the email.

Please be sure to check your Junk/Spam folders, as well as your UNIC email account (@live.unic.ac.cy). It contains instructions to confirm and complete this password change.


Step 4

You will be redirected back to Moodle to reset your password. Enter your “New password” and confirm it by repeating it in the “New password (again)” field.

Once you have entered and confirmed your desired password, click “Save Changes” as pointed in the above image.

All Moodle passwords must be at least 6 characters in length.

If there is an issue with your password an error will occur and you will need to re-enter your desired password. When you successfully manage to change your password then you will be redirected to your Moodle Dashboard and can continue using the platform.
