Best Practices when taking the exam

Exam Access: Always access exams by navigating through your course page, not through reminders or calendars.

VPN & Antivirus: - Consider temporarily disabling real-time antivirus scanning - Temporarily disable VPN connections before taking the exam

Webcam setup: - You can change your webcam during the webcam check - Ensure your computer's camera privacy settings allow desktop apps access

Time & Location: Set your computer's time and time zone correctly before the exam

Internet connection: - If possible, use a wired ethernet connection or stay close to the Wi-Fi router - Close any other bandwidth-heavy applications during the exam

Before the exam: - Uninstall any third-party webcam apps to avoid interference - Disable or uninstall screen recording software like screencastify

Updates: Regularly check for and install LockDown Browser updates

Restart & Reinstall: A clean installation is enough to fix problems related to corrupted installations.

All software should be distributed to faculty and students according to the guidelines provided in the Administrator Area and the “Administrator Guide for Respondus LockDown Browser.
