How to un-submit grades
This guide is only applicable to Academic Affairs admins and Program Deans.
Â
In order for grades to be unlocked and allow the lecturer to continue making edits the following can be done.
if the program Dean didn't approve the grades yet, then the dean can reject the grades. This will unlock the grades for the lecturer to continue editing.
If the program Dean approved the grades, then only Academic Affairs can unlock the grades.
Academic Affairs procedure
Academic Affairs can see and manage grades from the Grade Submission Interface.
In order to un-submit the grades the Academic Affair Admin can click the delete button.
When deleting the grades there are 2 possibilities:
The grades were submitted to Exelixis.
The grades were not submitted to Exelixis.
The grades were submitted to Exelixis.
If the grades were submitted to Exelixis and the Academic Affairs decides to reset the grades this will cause everything to be reset, meaning that all grades will be unlocked for the lecturer to edit. In this case you will see the following popup.
Submitting grades to Exelixis is a manual process and can be done from Exelixis interface not from Portal.
If you are sure that the grades should be reset, type the word RESET
on the input box and click Yes.
As the popup warning states you need to be 100% that you want to reset the grades. Resetting the grades AFTER they were submitted to Exelixis it will cause a hard-reset and all the grades will be unlocked.
The grades are not submitted to Exelixis.
In case the grades were not submitted to Exelixis then resetting the grades will just unlock the grades and allow the lecturer to continue editing. In that case the following popup will appear.
